You guys, it has been a long time since we've made a blog post. A year and a half, to be exact. Life has a funny way of working. When we decided to merge & create TKC, we had no idea where life was leading us. I, Courtney, welcomed our second child -- our baby girl, Vivian, into the world while Samantha & Nick took on the amazing adventure of opening up a fresh, beautiful, all-white wedding & event venue in Mulberry, AR -- The Kindred Barn {gorgeous, right?!}.

Juggling life, children, photo shoots, and weddings.. blogging got pushed to the back burner. But I am here to change that! I am so excited to begin blogging some of my favorite and most meaningful shoots and weddings to come in 2017! If I am being honest here, I am far from good with words, so I can only hope you bear with me if I start to bore you ;)

We are getting a taste of how close S P R I N G is & it sure is wonderful. I know I am not the only one jumping for joy at the sight of a single colorful flower after all this brown, dead grass for months. {right?!} My solution for this issue was to do greenhouse mini sessions! Oh, it's cold and windy? No problem.

When Maggie { Maggie Sheffield Photography } reached out to me wanting to book one, I was immediately pumped. I mean, i've seen photographs of her family -- they are adorable! And it is always nice to photograph a fellow photographer!

I met them at Neumeier Nursery and as soon as I took the first few photos, I knew I was going to adore this session. It's beneficial being a mother while being a photographer. I always try to do poses, or "non-poses" to capture moments would want of my family & I. Children will look back on these and cherish them, show them to their children, and so on. Documenting these emotions is so important. Times goes far too quick.

A huge shout out and thanks to Neumeier Nursery for always being welcoming and kind & allowing us to borrow their greenhouse! You guys should go check them out for all your gardening needs!

I promise to get better at this blogging thing ;) Hopefully these precious images make up for what I lack in writing.
